The process involved 4 rounds. Initially, they mentioned that my 7 years of experience didn't quite align with a Staff level, but suggested we could potentially adjust to a Senior level for this role. This already set a negative tone. They also communicated that my desired salary (typical for a senior role) was not feasible. The HR representative's demeanor was somewhat abrupt; instead of asking for my availability, they imposed a one-hour deadline. Furthermore, during the initial screening, they withheld details about the compensation package despite my inquiry. After scheduling the final round, I was informed that the role was no longer open for senior-level candidates, leading to the cancellation of the interview. The overall experience felt unprofessional, demeaning, and like a complete waste of my time.

It started great with a good interview, but then I waited 12 working days with no update besides being told they were swamped. During that time, I went through three rounds of interviews for other roles. I followed up multiple times. After the third follow-up, I got a short email saying they weren't moving forward with me, no reason given. I told them it was a bad candidate experience, and they called me back. They said they had a lot of candidates and chose ten. When I asked for feedback, they mentioned other candidates might have had referrals (which I did) and domain experience (I've marketed data platforms for 10 years). I asked for any other feedback, and they read my notes, which were all very positive. I get that sometimes it just doesn't work out, but it's better to be upfront and not leave people hanging for over two weeks. If you have big events like SKO coming up, don't post the job if you can't handle vetting candidates. It's not surprising the job market is tough for companies right now. Overall, it was a really poor experience.

Having worked in TA for a few years I know the ins and outs of the hiring process. I can honestly say, this was the best experience I have ever had in my career. The HM did a great job with letting me know exactly where I was in the process, how many interviews it would be and was always open to new asking questions even though there is a 6 hour time difference between us. After every interview, she reached out to me through email then a video call to let me know where I was and next steps. When describing the culture of the organization and truly stating that it is a “people first” culture, I was sold. Without exaggeration, the best experience I have had in my career.

A week after applying, I got a recruiter call. They said they'd contact me in a day or two, but then ghosted me for a week despite my follow-ups via text and email. I thought I was done for. But then the recruiter set up a first round with the hiring manager, which seemed good. The recruiter gave me a reasonable timeline for feedback on next steps. Instead of feedback, I got an automated Workday notification asking me to rate my recruiting experience and give them constructive criticism to improve their services. I don't have the bandwidth to teach them how to be professional.
