Coding Technical

The interview process at Clearwater Analytics (CWAN) in Noida had two main rounds. The first was an online CoderPad assessment with two interviewers, involving a pretty simple DSA question that used a greedy approach, which I got through. The second round was supposed to be a face-to-face technical interview at their office, also with two people. The task was to design a custom linked list, which wasn't that hard technically. But honestly, I messed up because it was my first in-person interview and I got flustered. One of the interviewers was really difficult, losing his temper and making the whole thing unprofessional. He seemed more into showing off his seniority and technical smarts than having a real discussion with someone like me with about four years of experience. He even switched from English to casual talk, which was awkward. If he'd been more respectful and supportive, I'm sure I could have solved it. Interviews should be about testing skills fairly, not intimidating people. The other four employees I met were great though – polite, calm, and professional. I hope the company takes this feedback on maintaining a respectful interview culture seriously.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The whole thing was 4 steps: first an online assessment, then a quick 20-minute chat with HR about why I'm interested. After that, there was a 1-hour meeting with someone from the team where they really dug into my motivation and asked some technical and logical questions. The last step was another 1-hour meeting with the team manager, which was pretty similar to the previous one but a bit more challenging. The entire process after the assessment took about 2 weeks and went really smoothly.

Technical Behavioral

The interview experience was pathetic. First, there was a technical interview at the Noida office, and feedback was given the same day. The next day, another technical interview was conducted with the Process Head at the office, with feedback again shared on the same day. The third round was an HR interaction where I was asked for a brief introduction, and the HR said everything was fine. However, I didn't get any update. I called the HR the next day and was told my application was still 'in process' and I'd get an update by that day or the next. After four days of no response, I was finally informed that the position was closed. This was the only communication after traveling to their office twice and waiting a whole week, with no explanation. Even contacting the India HR Manager yielded no response. It was a highly unprofessional experience with no respect for a candidate's time.
