The interviews are pretty tough. They put the pressure on. They ask a wide range of questions, to see how you react, how you think, and how you are for a team fit.

The interview process was part of a university recruiting event. I interviewed with people in mid-level management and some executives. They ask some pretty tough questions and can be persistent, similar to what others have said. They mostly asked about my coursework and the topics covered. If I didn't know a topic well, they'd ask follow-up questions on it (like TVM or basic accounting). It felt a little rude at times, which made me hesitate about the job. But, the teams seem supportive and the mentor program is a big plus.

Behavioral Technical Case

It began with a brief phone screen asking about my resume. Then, I went to the office for an interview with department directors. They asked technical questions on fixed income and accounting. I should've reviewed those topics more. It's hard to know what they'll ask, but reviewing undergrad basics is a good idea. After the interview, they asked if I had questions and gave me a timeline for the next steps. They stuck to the timeline, and I was invited back the following week for a second interview with the director, CFO, CEO, and COO. This time, the questions about fixed income and derivative securities were more in-depth. It's challenging to prepare without knowing the exact questions. I did my best and admitted when I didn't know, and they helped me out. They also asked some math questions. I was nervous and anxious throughout, which affected my performance. I felt I knew more than I showed, which could be bad. The interviewers were generally friendly, though sometimes they seemed impatient or disappointed by my incorrect answers. I've heard this behavior is sometimes intentional to test nerves. I feel neutral about the whole experience, not because of the people or company, but due to my own anxiety and nervousness. Maybe that's on me...
