The interview process began with a 30-minute phone call. The next step is a 1-hour panel interview with three employees. This interview might be tough if you're still in college or don't have much finance/accounting experience since they ask specific industry questions. A big part of it is going through your resume and knowing it inside out. They also asked for examples of what could have been done better and times things didn't go well. Overall, the interviewers were nice and helpful, and the follow-up was quick. They seem to be hiring for an entry-level role and offer training, but the interview expects a lot of existing knowledge.

The interview process at Clearwater is pretty thorough. You'll start with a phone screening, and then there's a two-on-one interview with the heads of client services. If they like you, the next step is a panel interview with the principals. The initial phone screening will cover basic accounting or finance stuff. The first in-person interview is tough; they don't ask behavioral questions at all. Instead, the questions are designed to test your critical thinking and how you handle tough questions under pressure. One person asks most of the questions, the other just takes notes. I got the offer after this interview and didn't have to meet with the principals.

I got a call about a week after applying and scheduled a phone interview. They sent over some documents and a case study to review before the call. The questions were pretty direct. Then I had two in-person interviews at their office. First, I met with some of the junior staff doing similar jobs. Second, I spoke with management. They threw in a couple of brain teasers, but mostly it was standard stuff. Everyone I met in person was really nice, but the HR person I emailed was kinda slow to respond, sometimes taking days or even weeks, and even messed up my name once.
