First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ClearSale.
Jovem Aprendiz Financeiro
I went through an online selection process at ClearSale in July 2024. First, there was a Pitch, where I was with two other people and the recruiter. It was very relaxed, and the recruiter was very nice and kind to us. After that, I moved on to the interview with the manager, which was also very relaxed. He was quite friendly and nice. They explained the job details and responsibilities to me.

Product Manager
The experience was very positive. The process was conducted in a highly professional and well-organized manner, including logic test stages, an HR interview, and interviews with area leaders. I noticed a lot of attention to the details I shared, as well as a lot of clarity and transparency about the next steps. Even though I wasn't selected, I received formal feedback from HR, who called me to inform me about the decision in a very careful way, which I consider important, given that some interviews raise expectations and don't always offer this type of feedback.

I'll talk about the selection process, which lacks transparency. It's done through registration on Gupy, I won't dwell on whether it's good or not because there's already a lot of controversy involving Gupy. The fact is, I've overcome Gupy a few times. But I didn't progress in ClearSale's process. I didn't pass the fit stage (logical reasoning test), which can happen, it's not usual for me not to progress at this stage, but okay. The thing is, they don't even provide information like the minimum score for progression or, most importantly, the candidate's score on the test, which adds obscurity to the selection. This should be improved.

The process had three stages: an HR interview, an analytical fit test, and a technical interview. The HR interview was a very relaxed chat where they explained the stages and aligned expectations. The analytical fit test is mandatory and a passing requirement. This test involves logic questions and text interpretation. The time given to answer is tight and corresponds to the maximum time allowed for each question. It creates some pressure because there's a timer for each question. In the technical interview, as usual, they said it would be a chat, but it felt like a barrage of questions. It was 50 minutes of non-stop questions from 4 people; some were good, others very generic. They gave me very little time to ask about ClearSale. One question I found poorly formulated was about what I thought of Clean Architecture. I questioned if it was about Uncle Bob's book, and I noticed they didn't appreciate the joke.
- What's your opinion on Clean Architecture?
- Can you share your experience with CI/CD tools?
- Describe your day-to-day at your current job.
