Business Operations Analyst
I applied on December 21st and got an email to schedule an interview on the 23rd, which was pretty fast. We had the first interview on the 28th, and it went really well. They mentioned it might take a week to get back to me because of the New Year's holiday. I followed up on January 6th as I hadn't heard anything and was still interested, and they said they'd have an update the following week. It's been two weeks now, and I haven't heard from them again until today, January 21st, when I received an automatic rejection email. It felt like a waste of time and lacked transparency, which was really disappointing.
- Tell me about your background.
- What about your previous job?
- What systems do you use?
Account Manager
So after submitting my application, there was a screening phase, then an initial interview with the manager. After that, I had some meetings with colleagues. Then there was a digital logic test, followed by a comprehensive discussion about the role, and an assessment of my skills and culture fit. They did reference checks, and then made a decision. Finally, there was a job offer and negotiation with the HR team, and then onboarding.
- Can you discuss your past positions to confirm alignment with this opportunity?
IT Analyst
I interviewed at Clarivate. This has been the best screening and interview process I've experienced with any company. The whole thing took over 2 weeks. HR reached out first for a screening, and then I was invited for a first onsite interview with the hiring manager. It went well, and the hiring manager was very supportive and easy to talk to, handling questions and answers smoothly. They asked about my technical skills, behavioral questions, and personality questions. Soon after, I had a second interview with the hiring manager and the director. This one was more in-depth, focusing on technical questions, my understanding of the company, and my knowledge of the role. If you have an interview coming up, I really suggest you research what the company does and make sure you completely understand the job description for the position you're applying for.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What is your knowledge of technical skills?
- Can you share a behavioral example?
QA Engineer
The interview process started with an HR call where they asked general questions about my background and why I'm interested in the role. After that, there was a technical interview with my potential teammates, covering my resume and some standard technical questions, nothing too difficult. Then, I had a technical interview with the hiring manager, which focused more on managerial-style questions, like hypothetical scenarios. The final step was the offer.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What motivates your interest in joining our company?
