Sales Associate
HR will first shortlist candidates based on your sales, CRM, and communication experience, especially if you have B2B or APAC region exposure. If you make the cut, they’ll give you a call or email for a phone screening. During this call, they'll ask you to talk about your current role and responsibilities, focusing on sales targets, keeping clients, upselling, and tools like Salesforce. They’ll also ask about your expected salary, so make sure to be realistic, aiming for around RM 5,000–6,000/month base, with more for experienced folks.
- Can you tell us about your background and current role?
- What motivates you to join our company?
- What is your expected salary range?
Manager
The interview process was generally straightforward, with clear questions and expectations. However, it could have been organized more effectively. The scheduling was somewhat disorganized, leading to confusion at times. Clearer communication and better coordination between interviewers would have ensured a smoother experience. Additionally, having a more structured flow for each stage of the process, with detailed timelines, would have reduced any unnecessary delays or uncertainties. Overall, the experience was positive but could have benefited from more attention to logistical details.

HR Intern
Saw the job posting on linkedin and applied via website. Applied in June and got an email from HR to arrange an interview 2/3 weeks later. HR response was slow to arrange the interview or reply. Had a F2F interview with HR at their office. Basic questions asked, and they shared the internship pay and benefits. Arranged for a 2nd interview with the Head via msteams, but had to reschedule twice. After the 2nd interview, no news, so assumed wasn't shortlisted, even though they were still reposting the job. Wish the HR team could have respected candidates' time during the hiring process as it's a two-way street.
- Can you tell us about yourself and why you're interested in HR?
Analyst
After submitting your application online, the HR team will do an initial screening. If you make the shortlist, you might have to take some psychometric and aptitude tests. For some jobs, you'll do group discussions or go to an assessment center. The HR interview is about your background, why you want to work here, and if you fit in. There's also a technical interview to check your skills for the job. Sometimes, a final interview is with senior management. If you pass everything, you'll need a medical exam before getting an offer. This whole thing can take weeks. To do well, look into CIMB Niaga’s work culture and get ready for each step.
- Could you elaborate on your academic background and studies?
- Please discuss your prior experiences that are relevant to this position.
