Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CIMB Group.
Intern
The interview process was quick and consisted of two rounds. Initially, I spoke with the head of the department, followed by an interview with an analyst. I was interviewing for the corporate banking position. I really enjoyed the people I met, and the HR representative was also very pleasant.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your interest in this position?
Scholarship
There were a few stages before the final interview with top management (HEAD OF HR), which was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I was fortunate enough to also visit their HQ in KL Sentral, and the working ambience and environment there were fantastic.
- Besides your grades, tell us why you think we should select you.
Intern
The interview process was short and conducted through university placement. They were desperately hiring interns for a very routine job due to a lack of people for back-end roles. This job might not align with your course of study; if you're unlucky, you might end up doing silly product testing, like navigating CIMB Clicks and clicking every button. They also changed my first day's date without informing me, leaving me feeling excluded.
- Can you provide details about your CV?
- Tell me more about the specifics mentioned in your CV.
