It was a pretty straightforward process. Started with an initial phone call, and then there were two more calls before the in-person interview. The team really wanted to make sure I was a good fit. The questions were mostly technical, but they also wanted to understand how I work within a team.

CDM Smith's interview process was pretty standard. It had some basic aptitude tests, some technical questions related to civil engineering, and then some HR questions about how I'd handle different situations. The panel was nice and professional, so it was a pretty smooth and fair interview overall.

The whole thing moved super fast. I met the recruiter at a career fair and they signed me up for an interview right then and there. I interviewed and got my offer within a couple weeks. They really seemed to not want me looking elsewhere, with the recruiter/interviewer saying something like, "if you're not going to invest in us and get on board, then we won't invest in you." Felt very salesy.

The time from when I applied to when the interview process kicked off was quite lengthy. However, once it got going, everything went pretty smoothly and felt easy. HR was really clear and direct in their communications. I ended up having a few chats with HR and then with some of the managers here.
