First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CDM Smith.
Engineer
Had two quick virtual interviews. The job description was pretty vague about what the role would actually entail, but they were looking for someone to jump onto some very specific projects that I don't have experience with, though I was willing to learn. Felt like it was kind of a waste of time.
- What are your career goals?
Design Engineer
The whole thing was pretty straightforward. I chatted a few times with a recruiter who helped set things up. They brought me in for an interview, and I talked with my potential manager and a colleague about the role, my background, and why I was interested. After that, they gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to some of the other engineers and project managers. The whole interview process wrapped up in under two hours.
- What kinds of projects would capture your interest the most?
Project Engineer
The interview process was perfect and I felt comfortable. The employees were very nice and attentive. The office building was also very nice. I wish I could have a good job at CDM Smith.
