Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CDM Smith.
Project Manager
The interview process was simple and traditional. The interviewers were very experienced in the field and all older, which felt like there was not enough balance at the company. I was man-splained in my interview and did not get to finish speaking.
- Can you explain why you are a good fit for this role?
Project Manager
The phone interview went well, I got all my questions answered and it wasn't too long. They went over my experience and I clearly answered the project-related questions. It involved 2 separate phone calls with 4 people on each call.
- What motivates you to want to work here?
Project Manager
The in person interview went well. The interviewer seemed to know the company and position well. I did end up taking the job and have regretted it ever since. If you are a new grad, spend some time here and you'll learn what not to do to take to a better firm.
- Can you tell me about a past project, including your role and performance rating, and what your biggest challenges were?
