The interview process started off great and seemed to move quickly, with three rounds of interviews scheduled within one to two weeks. However, after the third round, there was a complete lack of communication, with no update provided to the candidate, which was disappointing given the consistent contact with the TA person. It felt really unprofessional to be ghosted after investing time in three interview rounds. This handling of the situation made it seem like a not-so-great place to work.

Account Executive
The initial interview was a video call with a recruiter. It wasn't a great experience because the recruiter didn't introduce herself and immediately started discussing the role. The whole thing felt very rushed, likely because she wanted to finish within the 15-minute timeframe. She questioned my capability to perform the job multiple times, which made me wonder why I was even invited. Additionally, she wouldn't disclose the salary range until I shared my expectations first. It gave off a stereotypical corporate, toxic vibe.
- Could you share your salary expectations?
Product Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward. I started with an HR round, followed by a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager. Then, I had to prepare and present one of my previous projects as a case study. Since it was based on my prior experience, putting together the presentation was relatively easy and quick. After my 15-minute presentation, the interviewers asked some follow-up questions. Overall, it was a smooth and fast process. I was a bit anxious waiting for the job offer after the final interview, and I had to reach out for an update because they didn't communicate a rejection. It's disappointing when companies ghost candidates, especially after multiple interview rounds.
- Can you walk me through one of your past projects?
- What's your approach to task prioritization?
Product Manager
Interviewing with Brandwatch was a really positive experience overall. The people that I met were all really upbeat, enthusiastic and friendly. I felt at ease during each stage as the interviews were conversational and focused more on my approaches to the role rather than a right/wrong answer. I came away from the final stage feeling uplifted and energised which is always a good thing. My one criticism would be that whilst the process had few stages, the time to make a decision was on the longer side as they were interviewing quite a few candidates. It was 2.5 weeks between my final interview and hearing the outcome. However, the detailed feedback was worth the wait in the end and I would consider future positions at Brandwatch if they became available.
