The process was really quick. The hiring manager was super responsive and professional, and they actually listened. Even though I didn't have much experience, they still gave me an interview and considered me all the way through. I'd say check out their job posting because the questions were totally aligned with the qualifications they were looking for.

Had a 45 min phone screen with the recruiter first. Then went on-site for a 2 hour interview where I met with 3 different people. It took about 4 weeks total from when I first talked to the recruiter until the end. They were pretty good about communication, always letting me know what was going on.

Technical Coding

I applied for a management position, but the hiring manager wanted me to interview for a team lead role instead, which I didn't want. I told them I didn't have all the technical skills for that specific role and was aiming for the manager position. There were no questions about team culture or leadership skills, which struck me as odd for a leadership role. The lack of culture questions was a major red flag, suggesting a potential for a toxic environment if leadership doesn't prioritize it. They also didn't ask challenging technical questions. I had mentioned not having certain skills, but they said I'd learn them on the job. However, the director didn't provide opportunities to learn, and later reprimanded me publicly for lacking the very skills I'd disclosed during the interview.

I applied online and got an interview invite via email. It was a bit odd that they didn't share the interviewers' names, designations, or the interview duration beforehand. The first round was with the Hiring Manager. After clearing that, I received another email invite for 4 more rounds with different stakeholders, all scheduled for the same day. A lot of interviewers asked the same questions, which felt repetitive and maybe due to poor coordination. It was also a bit awkward when some interviewers turned off their cameras during our 1:1 virtual interviews.
