Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bio-Rad Laboratories.
Product Manager
I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about 1-2 weeks later. We had a phone chat, just standard HR stuff. Then the hiring manager called me within a few days for a more in-depth phone interview. They set up an onsite visit for 1-2 weeks after that. During the onsite, I met with the recruiter, the hiring manager, and another manager. A couple weeks passed, and I was told they were moving forward with other candidates. The interviews felt really conversational, like I had a good connection with the managers. The office vibe seemed pretty relaxed.

Product Manager
I applied online and then got picked for a 1-hour phone interview. We talked for a long time about my entire work history, my roles, and what I'd accomplished, plus why I left my last job. It felt like a typical phone screen, but it went on way longer than expected. Not sure if that's normal or if they were just really interested.

Product Manager
I had phone interviews with the Hiring manager, Director, and HR. Then an onsite with the same team plus the VP Marketing, another marketing People Manager, 2 R&D managers and the PM Group. On the same day, I also gave a ~30 min presentation on a marketing topic chosen by the hiring manager, with 2 weeks to prepare.
- Describe your process for generating insights for new products and features.
