First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bio-Rad Laboratories.
Laboratory Technician
So I had two phone calls a week apart, the first was with HR and the second with the supervisor. Then about two weeks later, I had a bunch of one-on-one meetings with different people like a PM, an engineer, and another HR person. The interview went way over time because people were late for the final panel interview with the supervisors.
- Could you explain your understanding of customer service?
Engineering Technician
I had a full day of interviewing with current employees from different disciplines. It felt really comfortable and welcoming. I really liked the process. Got a good look at the facility and had time to meet some future coworkers. Some of the questions were a bit basic, which surprised me. Some interviewers seemed more interested in sharing their feelings about Bio Rad than I was in learning about it.
- Can you describe a time when you had multiple urgent tasks and needed to prioritize them? How did you manage it?
Lab Technician
I sent my resume in and heard back from HR about a week later. They asked me some basic screening questions, and she mentioned she'd forward my resume to the hiring manager. There were a few questions about my past experience and what I'm looking to do. Since I'm entry-level, I knew it was a long shot, but I went for it. I didn't get a follow-up call.
- Can you describe your previous role?
- What are you hoping to achieve in your career?
- What makes you interested in this position?
