I had 3 rounds for this role. First, an HR screening which happened over an unscheduled phone call. Then, there were two 1-hour technical interviews. The team was great during the technical rounds, but I had to follow up with HR multiple times to schedule both technical interviews.

The interview process started with a salary range confirmation. After 5 rounds of interviews, which I completed successfully, I was informed that the company would not meet even the lowest end of the initially discussed salary. I believe senior professionals with extensive experience expect upfront honesty. My advice to others is to get a MoM email to document all verbal discussions and avoid misunderstandings. Candidates invest a lot of time and effort in preparation, and their time should not be wasted. On a positive note, the interviewers were excellent, and I enjoyed interacting with some of them. The company has been looking for over 2 months to fill this role.

I applied through the workday portal and heard back about a week later. They set up a phone screen with the hiring manager for the same day. The recruiter mentioned they were trying to move fast and hire within the next two weeks, but the hiring manager said I shouldn't hold my breath until July. When I emailed for clarification, no one could answer my question regarding timeline, which in this economy, is incredibly frustrating. The hiring manager said my resume and skills were "perfect" but sent out two canned rejections two weeks later with no feedback.

I applied online to Overstock.com. My interview journey started with a recruiter chat, followed by a meeting with the target team members, and then a short presentation of my work. The process concluded with a meeting with three different department heads. This entire experience spanned about a month. Interestingly, during the final interview, I was informed that the role I initially applied for was no longer an option, and I was being considered for a different position. They mentioned a decision would be communicated within a week. However, two weeks later, I received an email from a recruiter suggesting another role, different from the one discussed in the final meeting, and proposing to restart the interview process. My overall experience at Overstock was not positive, mainly due to a lack of transparency regarding the roles I was being interviewed for, although I did appreciate interacting with the team members.
