Behavioral Technical Coding

I had a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager, followed by a technical interview that focused on my projects and ML/data science knowledge rather than coding. After that, there was a coding interview, similar to LeetCode medium, and two separate behavioral interviews. Overall, it was a good experience.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process at Beckman Coulter is pretty structured. It's mainly panel interviews, and they really focus on whether you're a good behavioral and technical fit. They want to see if you can collaborate across teams, adapt to changes, and if you align with their company values and what they expect from leaders. The goal is to understand your thought process and if you'd fit into their culture and work environment.

Behavioral Technical Group

I talked to HR for a first screening, then had a panel interview with 3 engineers. The screening was okay. The engineer interview, though, really turned me off the company. One of the engineers asked a really misogynistic question. They also kept asking me the same questions repeatedly, as if I didn't know what I applied for. The work-life balance for this role sounded really bad. One of the interviewers even said it's tough to have personal relationships when working this job. Interviews are for companies to know candidates, but interviewers should remember that the candidate is also evaluating the company. I left the interview knowing I didn't want to work there and won't apply to other jobs at this company.

Technical Other

The process isn't too hard, but they only hire one student, which I don't like. There are basically three rounds. First, you have to qualify the interview round. If you pass that, then there's an HR round. And even if you pass the HR round, they add another round, which is online. I failed that online round and I'm really heartbroken because I was so close to getting this job. I really wanted to work in the biomedical sector, but I don't know what happened, maybe there was partiality? My interview went well, and I answered honestly, but I'm still rejected. I can't describe how I'm feeling. If I had been disqualified in the initial technical interview, I wouldn't be as sad, but now I'm just wondering what went wrong. I can't understand. If they were looking for a specific type of candidate from the start, they shouldn't have conducted these rounds. I think they shouldn't do this to anyone because it really hurts when you're capable and really want to get into the healthcare sector but can't get the job because one person who interviewed me online didn't like me or something. I'm really frustrated right now because I really wanted the job and have always been interested in biology. I know life goes on and everything happens for a reason, but when you give your best, and the company only wants to choose one person, they should just do it after the HR round. Why do they need a final round? Honestly, I don't like their process. I think they are doing the wrong thing.
