The interview process was pretty standard and straightforward. After a call with HR, I was invited to a meeting with the potential manager. The atmosphere was relaxed and I wasn't asked too many technicalities as they train after. It was maybe a bit too relaxed around the office, with people being noisy and messing around despite people talking to customers.

The interview process was pretty simple and organized. It started with a recruiter phone call where we talked about my background, why I was interested in this job, and they gave me an overview of the company and the team. It was a good, friendly chat. Then, I had a Zoom call with the hiring manager. We went deeper into my experience related to the role, what they expect, and how I'd fit in. It was a really engaging and thought-provoking talk. Overall, it was a good experience because everyone was friendly and easy to talk to.

It took me about 6 weeks from dropping my resume to getting the results. HR from Taiwan contacted me after 3 weeks and scheduled the interview. The first round went well as I have experience in order management, and HR said they would push my resume to the hiring manager in Malaysia for the second round. For some reason, they ghosted me for 2 weeks and then told me I wasn't successful. I asked why, but they didn't give me an answer and continued to ghost me. I suspect it might be because my expected salary was too high, or perhaps my previous company's manager said something bad to their hiring manager, as they are in the same building as my previous company.

Applied late July, got contacted the second week of August. The whole interview process went on for six and a half weeks. I tried to be flexible with interviewers' schedules and kept in touch with the recruiter, but there was no transparency. Seriously, the recruiting/interviewing process should not take more than four weeks max! Then they told me they decided to go in a different direction. Thanks for wasting six weeks of my time and making me think the job was mine. It involved four rounds of interviews plus the initial phone screen.
