The initial phone call was short and sweet. For the in-person part, I was told to wear workout clothes and met at the store. The manager was running a bit late, so I chatted with the other employees and looked around the store - maybe that was part of the interview? When the manager was ready, she joined our chat. Then, we headed outside to discuss lucy, fitness, empowering women, and the company's values. Afterward, the assistant manager came out, and the manager went back inside. We had a relaxed conversation about lucy, her experience there, school, and so on. It felt even more laid-back than the chat with the manager, but both were comfortable and enjoyable. We both went back inside, I said goodbye to the staff, and left. I received an offer a few days later and started soon after. It's important to emphasize lucy's mission of empowering women, making them feel and look good, and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle, especially using personal experiences.

I applied online, and then I had an interview scheduled about 2 days later. It was a typical retail job interview. They asked me about a time I had to go above and beyond for a customer, and about my biggest customer conflict and how I solved it. There was only one person when I went in, but she was really nice and called the manager down to interview me.
- Can you tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer?
- Describe a challenging customer interaction you had and how you resolved it.

The interview process moved quickly but was thorough. It included questions about how I live or would like to live an active life, and other questions about retail in general. They were really concerned about my availability on weekends, which is when they're busiest, and on certain weeknights that usually involve new shipments or floor set changes.
- In what ways do you currently live or would you like to live an active lifestyle?
