The application and interview process was handled by a third-party HR company, in my case, Cia de Talentos. I made it to the group dynamic stage. I was sad about the outcome because I had to miss a trip to do the interview. Even though I messaged to postpone, nobody replied, and in the end, they rejected me without even telling me the reason, despite sending several emails asking for feedback. It's my third year trying for an internship at Vale, I'm in my eighth semester of college and I feel very frustrated about not getting a good internship in my area. This year I found out that the colleague I help as a tutor in college got the job and I didn't.

The interview process started with solving challenges and an English test through Cia de Talentos. Next, there was a group dynamic session with about 40 minutes involving 4 people from different courses and areas. Finally, an interview with the Manager. For hiring, document submission is done via Docly. The medical exam is at Mina. The HR team is quite slow in responding to emails, if they respond at all.

To get to the interview stage, you go through a long process of assessments and even a group activity. In my case, the tests were online (English, behavioral, and logic) and the group activity was in person in Rio de Janeiro. However, the jobs were to work in Espírito Santo. The interview was much more focused on your profile, your aptitudes and vision for the future, as well as work environment scenarios, following the STAR format (situation, task, action, result).

I was really well received throughout the entire selection process. From the very first contact until the last conversation, I was treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism by everyone involved. The team showed a lot of maturity, clarity, and empathy at each step, which reinforced my view that this is a company with a solid culture and truly amazing people. Despite being so impressed with the process and the team, I decided not to move forward due to issues related to salary expectations and my career goals at this time. Still, I leave with an excellent impression and gratitude for the opportunity to get to know such an inspiring team.
