First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vale.
Business Analyst
HR called for an initial screening. After that, there was a group interview with the manager and director of the team. The questions were behavioral. It was a nice experience, although I didn't get an offer. The whole process was quick, taking about 2 weeks, and the decision was made then.
- Can you tell me about your career aspirations for the next five years?
Business Analyst
It was good. They asked questions. Then some tests. Then it ended. They also called me to give feedback. It was just one interview, nothing else. I have nothing to say, I'm filling the 30 words. So that was it. I don't know what else to comment.
- Salary and conditions and everything else related to the position
Business Analyst
The interview process started with a recruiter call, then a meeting with the hiring manager and another manager or director, followed by a final interview with a more senior person. Depending on the specific role, there might be a presentation on a business case. A significant amount of paperwork was involved for background checks, and they contacted all my references. I wasn't entirely happy with the process because the senior leaders I met with weren't from Canada and seemed unfamiliar with local practices. While I don't have an issue with people from other countries, as we're all immigrants here, the interviews felt too casual and unprofessional.
- Can you describe a challenging problem you resolved as part of a team?
