The application and interview process was handled by a third-party HR company, in my case, Cia de Talentos. I made it to the group dynamic stage. I was sad about the outcome because I had to miss a trip to do the interview. Even though I messaged to postpone, nobody replied, and in the end, they rejected me without even telling me the reason, despite sending several emails asking for feedback. It's my third year trying for an internship at Vale, I'm in my eighth semester of college and I feel very frustrated about not getting a good internship in my area. This year I found out that the colleague I help as a tutor in college got the job and I didn't.

I went through the selection process for an internship at Vale and had a really good experience. It was well-organized and structured, with clear stages and good communication throughout. The interview was professional and welcoming. The interviewers were genuinely interested in getting to know me, my academic background, and why I want to work at the company. The questions were direct, covering both technical and behavioral skills. A great thing was how transparent they were about the job responsibilities, the challenges of the area, and the development opportunities within the company. This made me feel secure and reinforced Vale's image as an organization that cares about intern growth.

The internship interview process at Vale typically starts with an online application on their careers site, where you'll need to provide your course, academic year, and expected graduation date. Following that, there are usually online tests covering logical reasoning, English, and behavioral aspects to gauge your work style. Some programs also include a group activity. In this activity, you'll be given a problem related to mining, logistics, or sustainability and asked to come up with solutions as a team. This part assesses your communication, teamwork, and creativity.
