Had a nice chat with the store manager. Asked some basic questions about retail experience and what makes good customer service. Also asked about planning, being a team player, and leading the team. It felt more like a conversation than an interview. Overall, a positive experience.

Superdrug called me after I applied and asked me to come in for an interview, offering me a couple of days to choose from. I wore smart casual clothes, but more on the smart side, and showed up a little before the scheduled time. Initially, I had a one-on-one chat with someone. Then, they asked me to stand by the door for about 5-10 minutes and hand out samples for the interview. After that, I went back inside and was asked a few more questions. The whole thing lasted about 30 minutes.

Behavioral Case

It was a pretty straightforward interview, much like what you'd expect in retail. They asked a lot of questions based on scenarios. If you've worked elsewhere, they want to hear about that experience. The interview felt pretty relaxed. I talked with the store manager in their office, and we discussed my past work, how I interact with people, and what I understand about customer service.

After applying online, I had an initial chat with Charlotte, the talent acquisition advisor. I was offered an interview after a week. I was told it would be a single-stage interview. After the interview, I was told I'd hear back the following week. It was a good experience and I felt my skills were a great match for the role. However, communication with the talent advisor was poor. I had to chase for a response at the end of the week and was told I wasn't successful. It was upsetting as the job was reposted multiple times, suggesting a decision was made early on not to hire me, but this wasn't communicated until I asked.
