First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Superdrug.
Sales Advisor
It was an easy process, just be yourself and smile. Dress casual, wear something black and offer good customer service examples, examples how you worked under pressure and give examples if you had an angry customer what did you do
- Can you give an example of customer service and how you helped customers?
- Tell me about a time you worked under pressure.
- What was your response when dealing with an angry customer?
Sales Advisor
The interview process was pretty informal. It started with some questions about using initiative and what my favorite product was. The interview was held in the manager's office. The manager had to step away a couple of times to take calls on his headset. After that, there was a background check.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to take the initiative?
- Which product was your favorite?
Sales Advisor
I saw the Sales Advisor job on Indeed and applied on the company site. HR called me 3 days later to ask why I wanted to work at Superdrug. I discussed my skills for the role, my familiarity with the store, and how often I shop there. The next day, I had an in-store 1:1 interview with the store manager. It went well. We started with questions, then I spent 10 minutes interacting with customers in the store, welcoming them and asking if they needed help. Afterwards, we had more questions. The manager and staff were friendly. A week later, I got an email saying I didn't get the job. I called for feedback and was told I would have been hired, but they had internal transfers and had to give the position to existing employees. It was good practice, but I'm curious how they knew about the transfers.
- What makes you want to join Superdrug?
- Could you tell me about yourself, perhaps your education or work history, and throw in something unique that would make me remember you?
- Can you recall a situation where you had to work under pressure?
