Technical Coding Presentation System Design

The interview order was a bit different than usual. It started with HR, then a technical interview, followed by an online assessment, and finally a presentation. A heads-up, all the interviewers were about 15 minutes late, which felt pretty unprofessional and disrespectful. The last part, the presentation, actually included a technical discussion, which felt like a repeat of the earlier technical interview. Also, the interviewer during the presentation part was kind of unfriendly and didn't really let me ask any questions at the end.

So the process kicked off with a quick phone screen. After that, there was a technical assessment where they tested my SQL, coding, debugging, and integration knowledge, along with some general software engineering stuff. This was followed by a technical interview with two senior engineers. We went over my background and projects, and discussed things like message queues, CS fundamentals, and APIs. The final step was a presentation with two integration managers.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

My interview process with Sumerge was super smooth. It kicked off with a quick call that set expectations. Then, an HR interview gave me an honest look at the role and company culture. The technical interview was well-organized and felt supportive, giving me a good idea of the actual work. Finally, a presentation wrapped things up, letting me showcase my problem-solving approach. The whole thing was thoughtful, not too long, and very structured, with each step feeling important for both sides to see if it was a good fit. Really enjoyed the experience.
