First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sonata Software.
Senior Functional Consultant - D365 SCM
Applied through a recruiter and had a first-round interview, which went well and got a positive response. I was expecting a second round, but the recruiter let me know that my CV was rejected without a clear reason. What a ridiculous interview experience.
- Can you describe the end-to-end sales process?
- Can you describe the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process?
- Can you describe the end-to-end sales return process?
Senior Software Engineer
I interviewed for a Senior Software Developer role. The first technical interview went well, and I got the confirmation that I passed. But, the subsequent steps were kind of messy. Before the client interview, I had to go through an internal call that felt like it was just a formality. What really bothered me was being asked to change my resume to fit the client's specific needs and then prepare for the client interview last minute. As someone already working, it felt like too much to ask to spend so much time tweaking documents and getting ready for a role that wasn't even clearly defined from the beginning. There was a lot of confusion and back-and-forth, making the whole thing pretty annoying. A smoother and clearer process would be great, especially for experienced folks.
- What are the fundamental concepts of OPPs?
- Can you write a program that reverses a string?
- How would you find the 3rd highest salary using a SQL query?
Digital Engineer
It was an easy interview process. There was an online round, followed by a technical round, and then an HR round. The coding questions were basic to intermediate level, asking questions from arrays or strings. It's important to go through the resume properly because questions will be asked from that. They will also ask about the technologies used in the projects and general information about the project.
- Tell me about yourself
- Write code to find the frequency of elements in an array
- Do you have any general questions about AI and ML?
Technical Support Engineer
This role involves supporting users with technical issues, and the interview process will focus on your problem-solving skills and ability to assist customers. We'll start with a recruiter call to discuss your background and the role, followed by a technical screen to assess your technical knowledge. Finally, there will be an onsite interview, which may include a technical assessment and behavioral questions to evaluate your fit with the team.
