First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sonata Software.
Graduate Engineer Trainee
The interview process was straightforward. Initially, there was a technical interview where they asked situation-based questions and technical questions from my resume. If I had mentioned a project, they would have asked me to explain its model or code.
- Could you detail the Oops concepts?
- Tell me about a time you faced a situation and how you handled it.
- What technical questions can you answer from your resume?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
It was pretty easy, just had to go through basic concepts. It was conducted by AMCAT and was very easy to crack. Just stay cool. Most of the time was spent asking questions about projects, so just be confident in whatever you say. Don't worry about your branch, most questions will be related to what you studied in engineering. After clearing the written test, two rounds will be conducted. The first will be technical and the second will be HR. Both will be very easy.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- Could you tell me about your project?
- Why do you think we should hire you?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
We started with a quantitative test covering math skills. Then, there was a technical round with a written test on coding and algorithms. The next round was HR/Logical, where they asked basic HR questions and, for me, some questions on basic physics and civil problems. Finally, they made an offer, and since I accepted, they invited me for their orientation for the first batch of Graduate Engineer Trainees that year.
- Basic mental math, quantitative, and verbal questions were asked.
- There were questions to solve programming problems.
- Regarding the HR/Logic test, I was asked why a door handle is placed at the farthest end from the hinge.
