Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sonata Software.
Manager
The interview process was pretty simple and straightforward. Being open and transparent really helps to move forward in the selection process. Some questions were also pretty generic.
- How would you handle client management and the dynamic nature of their requirements and requests?
Bid Manager
The HR was professional enough and the initial telephonic round was taken by a lady from the Bid Management team who also behaved well. Later in the face to face round, there was a guy named AMIT who joined the interview, and he was absolutely a BUFFOON. It was a really bad experience for me and I'm never ever going back to this company for an interview.
- Tell me about your previous experience in Bid Management and the Bid management cycle.
- Why are you looking to change your current job?
- If you were offered a role and initially assigned a desk on the first floor, but then asked to move to the second floor after six months, would you comply?
Management Trainee
Campus interviews are generally a 3 step process. First, a written test with very simple maths questions. You get 12-15 mins to attempt 60 questions. Second, a situational Group Discussion (GD) in a Ship wreck scenario. You can take only 15 things. What all things will you take along with yourself for survival, till somebody finds you? Third, a general interview. Most questions are about Summer internship projects.
- Tell me about your Summer internship projects.
- In a ship wreck situation, if you could take only 15 things, what would you take for survival until rescue?
