Software Engineer
I interviewed for a position with the US team, even though the interview was in Israel. First, I had an HR interview via Google Meet with Adi, the recruiter. She was really nice and asked about my experience and personal projects, and also told me about the job and the company. She also asked about my salary expectations and told me what she thought they could pay, which I appreciated. Then, they set up a technical screen with the US team lead. The questions were in JavaScript and Python, and the interview was in English, which made it tough to communicate well. I tried my best, but only managed the first two questions fully and the third one partially. After more than two weeks, the recruiter called to say I didn't get it. She was very understanding and tried to help me figure out why. Overall, it was a good experience, even though it took about a month. The recruiter made it feel more respectful.
- We have a function that gets 2 promises, please return the value of the sum of them.
- We get an unknown data structure (could be array or string, and etc..), please check if its empty and return true if so.
- We have a function that gets a list of strings with this structure: string+number, for example: ["this1", "the3", "world4", "is2"]. Please return the desired sentence.
Customer Success Manager
The interview process involved a recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, a peer interview that included a presentation, and an HR interview. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and the communication was honest and clear. It took about 4 weeks overall. The presentation instructions were clear, and the main thing is to do your research and be ready, as they want to see how you'd handle customer interactions.
- Can you share details about your background?
- How do you approach prioritizing your accounts?
- What is your average number of EBRs conducted?
People Partner
Had an initial phone screening with the recruiter which went well, I got the info I needed and they asked typical questions. They offered me a second interview right then. The next interview was with the hiring manager, but we had to reschedule it once, which I was fine with. During that interview, I realized the job wasn't quite what was in the job description or what the recruiter said. The interview itself was normal, with standard questions, and lasted about 30 minutes. They said the recruiter would let me know about next steps, and that if I moved forward, there'd be two more interviews. I haven't heard back in about 3 weeks, even though they said they needed to hire for this position urgently.
- Can you explain how your present job has equipped you for this position and what transferable skills you possess?
- In three words, how would your friends characterize you?
Solutions Architect
I applied for this Solutions Architect role over 4 months after seeing it on LinkedIn, even though I wasn't actively looking. The interview process had 5 rounds. It started with an HR phone screen which went fine. Then I had a good interview with the Hiring Manager, who was professional and prepared. The third interview was a technical one with another professional interviewer who asked good, direct questions. I then interviewed with the Senior Manager, a professional and leader-like individual I enjoyed speaking with. The fifth interview was with the VP and was unpleasant and unprofessional, with basic questions like 'what would your manager say about you' or 'where do you see yourself in few years', which felt like a waste of time. The VP was more interested in who holds VP roles in my current company, getting disappointed I didn't know. Given my department and the company's structure, I didn't see the relevance. He also kept pushing if I had questions about the company or him. About 2 hours after this last interview, I received an email stating I wasn't a good fit, despite positive feedback from the first three interviews. Maybe it's for the best. I wish good luck to the Hiring Manager, Technical Interviewer, and Senior Manager. The HR might need to rethink their process; having a VP interview for a non-managerial role and 5 interviews total for a Solutions Architect seems excessive.
- Tell me what your manager would say about you.
- What is your vision for yourself in the coming years?
- Can you name the VPs in your current company?
