First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sisense.
Account Executive
The interview process was a bit of a free-for-all, with one person interviewing you and then deciding who you'd talk to next. It had a lot of energy, but felt a little disorganized. The HR person was a huge help; without her, it would have been pretty confusing.
- Can you tell me about your understanding of business intelligence and the specific region you'd be responsible for?
Account Executive
The whole thing was pretty standard until the end. An HR person from Sisense gave me a rundown of what to expect. I went in for some face-to-face interviews. I chatted with another Sales Director and two VPs. Ultimately, two things made me decide not to move forward. First, one of the VPs gave me a weird vibe. Her questions felt off and unprofessional. Second, while their office looks really new, it's mostly just a surface-level niceness. They have this "quiet room" with a hammock, but it's not soundproof, so it's not actually quiet. The men's room looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80s. All the staff were using really cheap equipment. Didn't seem like a place that cares about treating its employees well.
- How can you tell if a client is being honest with you?
Named Account Executive
The interview process was seamless and handled in a very professional manner: -HR Phone Screen -Phone Interview with Sales Director(s) -In-Person Interviews at the office (including a personality and IQ test) In addition to my work ethic and past successes, Sisense was interested in whether I'd be a good cultural fit for the organization. Also, they assessed whether I'd be able to "keep up" with the rapid growth of the company [In other words, they don't just hire people that look good on paper]. When I was invited to interview at the office in NYC, I met with an HR business partner so that I could better understand Sisense's career development opportunities and the culture of the organization. Overall, a very positive experience with friendly, high-caliber people.
- How do you prospect?
