It started with a call from HR, then I got a take-home assignment. After that, I had a video chat with the hiring manager, and it all wrapped up with an interview loop with the team. The HR person was great, super quick to answer my questions, and the team too. The hiring manager chat was chill and felt like a normal conversation. I figured the interview loop would be similar, but the team didn't seem too stoked to be there. They hit me with STAR questions, and after I'd answer, they'd just say 'Cool. Next question is...' which was a bummer. Honestly, I was expecting more excitement from them based on the earlier talks. It felt like they might have already picked someone and I was just going through the motions. I got some feedback at the end that felt off, but hey, at least they gave it. It was tough, mostly because the team seemed disengaged during the loop.

The hiring manager for customer success dept. called me in a noisy environment. All I can hear were cars honking in the background like she was literally in the middle of street in downtown. Extremely unprofessional. All I can say was I couldn’t hear her. Thought the phone interview was obliterated, so I didn’t even expect an in person interview however they invited me for an in person interview. When I arrived they gave me a nice little swag bag which I thought was pretty cool. Inside It contained some information about the company for me to look over before I met with my interviewers. My first interviewer showed up on time she was very professional asked great questions. From there, the rest were all late I then started to become disinterested. Finally, When I met with last person the director she talked too much about her personal life and not only did I remember her from my first initial phone interview and how bad it was it was just as bad in person... I no longer showed interest. The recruiter came to get me and kept asking if I was interviewing elsewhere.. I was honest and said yes. Then he walked me out I feel this could’ve been the reason why I didn’t get the offer, but I’m happy! I’m at a much better place with amazing people who understands professionalism!

I first got reached out by a recruiter after I applied online. The first step was a phone screen where we talked about what I'm looking for and they told me about the company, its mission, and some of the cool perks. Then, I had a take-home technical challenge that involved Python and SQL problems and took about 4 hours. The exercises were pretty good, making me think, but not super hard. Thankfully, no whiteboard interviews! It felt like I could really show what I can do on the technical screen. After sending it in, I had an hour-long chat with the hiring manager. It felt pretty personal, like they really wanted to know me and what's important to me. They then invited me for an onsite interview at their office. The office is modern and cozy, not too loud, and they've moved to a bigger floor. The loop included meeting four people from different departments and the hiring manager. Each meeting was a bit different, but it seemed like the main goal was to see if I'd be a good fit for the team. Again, no real white-boarding, but some standard behavioral questions and some about the business model and hypothetical business scenarios. The whole onsite took about 3.5 hours, but it was efficient and didn't drag. Overall, the process was well-organized, recruiters were responsive, and the interviewers were friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about the company.

A few days after I applied online, a recruiter reached out for a phone screen. Then, they had me come in for an in-person interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had another in-person interview with a different team member. Once those were done, they requested my references. I got an offer not long after. The entire process was fast and smooth, which was pretty cool considering it was right before a holiday. The recruiter was super responsive and kept me updated the whole time. Oh, and they gave out cute goody bags! I was really impressed with RealSelf by the end.
