Got referred by someone I used to work with. Had a 30-min call with the recruiter, who asked detailed questions about my experience related to the role. She told me about SIS, Bain Capital, and their big IPO in K-12 software. Then she said I was moving to the next round to interview with the VP of Revenue Marketing and would be in touch. After 16 days and no reply to my two emails, I withdrew my interest. I felt it wasn't a good cultural fit because they couldn't even take 2 minutes to email a 'rejection' when they were moving me forward. It really showed me their culture.

The interview process was pretty off-putting. They rescheduled multiple times, which made me feel like they were either overworked or didn't really care about this role. I even asked to withdraw my application after the second interview because of this, but they assured me it was just a fluke and that things would get better if I stuck around. The first person I talked to was nice and seemed genuinely interested, leading to a good conversation. The second interview, however, was really dry, and the interviewer seemed uninterested, which made me wonder if I was the problem. The third interview felt almost rude; the interviewer was aloof and made sure I knew how busy and important she was, basically expecting me to be grateful for her time after all the reschedules. It left a really bad impression of the company culture and how much they value their people.

One of their TA reached out to me on Linkedin asking if I was interested in SDR role based in Dubai to cover European territory. I acknowledged interest in the company but I made it clear that given my 14 years of experience in tech sales, SDR role wouldn't be the right move for my career!! Few days later, the same TA reached out again and said we have an opening for an Account Director role and asked if I was interested. I expressed my interest in that role and she immediately booked an initial screening call with one of their sales leadership, which went well. Then I had another meeting with the VP which went even better, a while later I had another meeting with the SVP which was slightly more intense and sophisticated but also went great. Later I met the VP in person in Dubai Office and talked for almost 2 hours about the expectations for this role and if we both are a good fit for each other. A week later I met the SVP in person as well, this meeting was much more friendlier than our first meeting. About 2 weeks later, I received the offer letter.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was contacted in late July about a Group VP role. The process involved a recruiter call, then a hiring manager chat about 10 days later. A week after that, I spoke with three directors. Ten days later, I had interviews with the CPO and CTO. Three days after that, I met with another VP. Two weeks later, I had a follow-up with the hiring manager. I was then informed that additional candidates needed to be presented to the CEO. Three weeks later, I received an email stating they were going in a different direction, seemingly due to a decision to close all remote roles and hire in Folsom, CA. The entire process spanned from late July to early October. I felt there wasn't a strong sense of urgency for such a critical position.
