Customer Success Manager
The interview process was smooth and competitive, offering good insights. Powerschool seems like a company with a supportive and good work culture, even though there have been layoffs, which is common nowadays.
- What are your 5-year career goals?
Customer Success Manager
I had an initial chat with a recruiter, which went great. Then I moved on to what was supposed to be round 1, but it was actually two separate interviews because the panel had 6 people and they split it up for the zoom call. Both of those interviews were pretty similar and I think they went well. I was feeling optimistic, but the second interview was on November 17th (23 days ago) and I haven't heard back after sending two follow-up emails.
- Do you like being ignored after applying?
- Thank you for your application!!
Customer Success Manager
First, there was a cognitive test over the phone, then a proctored cognitive test. After that, there was a panel interview, but the interviewers seemed flustered and unprepared, like they didn't want to be there. The recruiter said she'd get back to me by the end of the week but didn't. A month later, she emailed about the role being frozen and asked if I was interested in another CSM role; I said yes, and then heard nothing. Three months after that, I got another email asking if I was interested. I said yes and wanted to schedule a talk, but then got ghosted again. The communication from recruiting is terrible and it's a waste of time.
- Dealing with challenging clients is a key part of this role. Can you describe your approach to managing difficult client relationships?
