Technical Program Manager
The interview process kicked off with a recruiter call, but the recruiter missed the scheduled appointment and later said it was a holiday and an update was supposed to be sent, though the invite wasn't changed. We rescheduled, and I had the screening call. Since I'm an international candidate based in Amsterdam, all interviews were online. The recruiter initially mentioned a few interviews with the hiring manager and team. However, the process evolved into a full interview loop with more interviews involving product and engineering. The hiring manager and interviewers were professional and friendly, making the discussions engaging. Topics covered platform delivery, coordinating across teams, and real-world examples from my past work. One interview involved a deep dive into a past project's implementation, asking about a specific component name and its exact workings, which felt more like a design discussion. The most disappointing part was the end; after the final interview, my follow-ups to the recruiter about the decision were ignored, with no response even after multiple attempts. I never got feedback or a decision, and the job posting is still up. After six interviews and getting to the end, I expected at least basic communication, even for a negative outcome. The lack of response was really disappointing and didn't create a good candidate experience.
- Can you walk me through a complex cross-team delivery you managed, detailing how you navigated dependencies among various engineering teams?
- Tell me about the implementation of a project from your previous company, including specifics about a component name and its operational mechanism.
Customer Success Manager
It started with a screening call from the talent acquisition manager. Then, I had several interviews with the hiring manager and various team members. They asked a mix of competency-based, behavioral, and culture fit questions. The whole process was clear and communication was great. After about 3-4 weeks of interviews, the final step was a presentation on a topic directly related to the role, in front of the team and their director.
- Can you explain why you're a suitable candidate for this specific position?
Product Manager
My submission was rejected without any notification for the reason to be rejected. I was very surprised that they don't have any contact point to answer your questions. Previously, one year ago, I went through 3 interview steps and finally they rejected me without any information. I spent lot of time for preparing and the minimum would be to giev at least a motivation for rejection.
- Can you tell me about your accomplishments?
- Could you tell me a little about yourself?
Director of Strategic Partnerships
I got an email from their recruiter to set up an interview. He was pretty chill and asked the usual screening questions. The interview was supposed to be an hour but it wrapped up in 30 minutes. I asked if there was anything that would prevent me from moving on and he said no, and that I should hear back by the end of the week. Then I got an automated rejection. I shot the recruiter an email asking for feedback since it seemed like I was moving forward, but never heard back.
