I had 8 interviews for this role. There were 3 follow-ups via Zoom with the recruiter where they said they were excited to have me, but they had to sort out their remote employment policy first. I was upfront about not intending to move to Berlin from the start. The whole process took about 1.5 months. It was intense, and then after 11 meetings, there was radio silence. Communication stopped just before Christmas, which would have been worse to be left hanging. I've since accepted another offer for the same role. I'm okay with not getting this one, but not getting any feedback or a rejection after finishing all stages was really bad.

It was a long process with 6 interviews. first interview with HR, second with VP sales, and then a 2-hour round of 4 small interviews (30 min each) - with future peer from the same department, colleague from a different department, supervisor, VP of different department. Though it was a tiring process, I got positive perception about the company. The 4 small interviews also gave me understanding of the overall environment and job position.

A recruiter reached out about the role, which initially seemed like a good match. I was given a salary range of about 45k, but it was unclear if this was base salary or included commission. Since another recruiter was unavailable, I had a video interview with the Team Lead. I was promised a salary breakdown after that interview. The video interview with the Team Lead went very well; they were friendly, enthusiastic, and polite. They mentioned there would be more interviews. Then, I received an invitation for a video call with the Director. I was still waiting for the salary breakdown but proceeded with the interview. The interview with the Director was one of the worst I've experienced. The interviewer was patronizing and arrogant, arrived late without acknowledging it, and sounded disengaged. Their way of speaking made me very uncomfortable. When I asked about the company's expansion plans, they laughed. The interviewer also asked about my nationality/background, which is illegal, and made xenophobic/nationalist comments about my country of birth and its history, referring to it derogatorily as if it's something to be ashamed of, implying it's inferior to their own country. I was stunned and upset. They said they would provide feedback to a recruiter who would then contact me. I waited nearly two weeks with no response. I then emailed myself for feedback and the salary breakdown. I received an email saying they needed more time to decide and then got a percentage breakdown of salary and commission. There was no apology for the delay or an indication of when a decision would be made. It seems they are interviewing others and keeping candidates as backups. It's unfair to make people wait without making a decision. I'd advise against applying here, as there are many companies where you'll be treated with respect.
