Account Executive
So, like, there were 7 rounds in total to get to the end. First, I had a 30-minute chat with a manager, and then I had two more 30-minute chats with managers in Australia. After that, I spoke with the head of sales, who is based in the EU. Then came three more rounds: one was a presentation, and then I had a debrief with the sales manager in AU. Oh, and before that, I had a presentation with the head of revenue in the US, director of sales (EU), and a sales manager (AU).

Financial Analyst
The interview was for an FPA position and started off okay. However, the interviewer, a VP who had only been hired a month prior, seemed confused about my background in digital marketing agencies, not understanding the products sold by such agencies. I explained my experience was on the revenue side (client finance), I had a financial modeling certification, wanted to transition to FPA, and was experienced with their tools. Then, she asked how to record a journal entry for revenue, which isn't an analyst's job as I'm not an accountant. She then stated I knew nothing, my CV was a lie, my salary expectations were too high for entry-level experience. I don't understand why a VP interviewed for a mid-level role.
- Can you explain the journal entry for deferred revenue?
Leadership
The interview process started with a phone screen panel of 4 people, then a check-in with the hiring manager. After that, there was another panel with 4 more senior individuals, followed by another check-in with the hiring manager. The final stage was a conversation and then an offer. This whole thing took more than 2 months, which is pretty normal for leadership roles because it's harder to get schedules aligned with more senior folks. They were really strict about sticking to their business hours, which was tough because it didn't work with my availability. But, it was a really professional process overall. I got to meet a lot of people, which gave me a good sense of the company culture, the team I'd be joining, and different perspectives from various levels.

Applied via the NextRoll website. Had a call later that week with a recruiter, asked some questions about my current role and sales responsibilities, why I wanted to work at AdRoll, very straight forward. Progressed onto 30 min interview with the Sales Manager, similar more questions on sales, why I wanted to work there, what I know about the company and industry. Next was 3 x 30 minute interviews, each focused on my knowledge of the industry, my sales knowledge and approach and my fit for the company culture. Finally had one last interview with the VP of sales. It sounds rigorous but was a very enjoyable interview process and nothing too difficult! Had some really nice chats with the team and it really made me want to work there. The whole process was quick as well and took about 2 weeks or so

- How would you determine if a potential customer is a good match for the product?
- What would be your initial 30-day plan upon joining the team?
