So I had 3 rounds for this role. It was a mix of coding, a tech interview, and an HR interview. In the tech round, they asked me about my resume and projects, and also about OOPS concepts. I had to solve some simple coding problems on the spot. The HR round was more about problem-solving.

Behavioral Technical Other

So I wanted to give some feedback on the interview process. The first interview was fine, and I knew you were still looking at other people. But then things got a bit tricky. First off, I never got a proper job description for the role, which made it hard to know exactly what you guys were looking for. The website link to submit my info was also broken, I tried a bunch of times but it just wouldn't work. They also made me do this really long psychometric test before even meeting in person, which seemed like a lot without knowing the job details. My interview with the VP of HR was also not great. It felt like they only cared about formal degrees and not my actual experience. They asked a lot about how my current company operates, which felt weird and I didn't have a job description to understand why they were asking. I get I might not be the perfect fit, but the way the interview went felt disrespectful, especially since other places have valued my skills. Honestly, the interviewer seemed to lack basic people skills for an HR role. I'm sharing this to help make things better for others.

First off, there's a technical interview to check out your tech skills and how you solve problems. This could be coding, debugging, or theory about specific tech. After that, you gotta do an online exam. It tests your tech knowledge and smarts, usually on stuff like algorithms, data structures, and logic. Make sure to prep for this and do practice tests. Then, the hiring manager hits you with a more in-depth technical chat. They wanna see how you tackle real problems, your thought process, and what you've done before. Expect questions about scenarios and your past projects. Lastly, the HR round is all about seeing if you fit in, how you talk, and sorting out salary, company rules, and other practical stuff. Be ready to chat about your career goals and how they match what the company wants.

So for Applications Engineer, usually it starts with a written or online test. This test kinda checks your aptitude, logical reasoning, and if you're going for a tech role like software dev or business analyst, then technical knowledge too. If it's a tech role, expect some programming questions and multiple-choice stuff on algorithms, data structures, and core CS concepts. Then there are the technical interviews, usually 1 to 2 rounds. The first technical round is all about data structures, algorithms, and how you solve problems. They might ask you to code on a whiteboard or an online tool. Later tech rounds can get into specific technologies, frameworks, and tools that are relevant to the job, like Java, .NET, or databases. Also, be ready for some deep dives into the projects you've put on your resume.
