I applied for the Senior Analyst position, and the process involved an initial application, a chat with the recruitment team, submitting a case study, and then presenting that work to the area managers. The HR team was great at keeping me informed and was really helpful throughout, especially when they sent over and explained the case study. The task required a solution that fit the company's situation, showing strategic thinking and good reasoning. I spent a few days researching, structuring, and building the deliverable, and I got it done on time. For the presentation, I followed a clear plan, stuck to the 30-minute time limit, and used real examples from my career to answer questions. I also asked questions at the end to get a better feel for how the company works, showing I was genuinely interested. A few days later, I got a formal thank you note, but no detailed reasons why I wasn't selected, just that someone else 'seemed to fit' what they were looking for. When I asked for more feedback, they said they thought I might not handle a constantly changing environment with continuous deliverables well. This seemed odd because my presentation and the examples I shared actually highlighted my experience in exactly that kind of scenario. They also mentioned a technical aspect could have been explored more, even though it was covered objectively in the presentation and wasn't a stated requirement of the challenge. This made me feel like the evaluation was misaligned and the technical assessment was a bit weak. During the interview, some attitudes also came across as lacking empathy and active listening, which isn't a great experience for someone who put a lot of effort into preparing a proposal. Overall, the process was friendly, but the final feedback lacked clarity and depth, especially considering the high demands and effort required for the practical stage.

The Natura hiring process really showed me how much they care about their culture and sustainability. It was tough but cool, and made me like the brand even more. First, HR did a screening call to talk about my background, why I wanted the job, and if I fit with their values. They asked if I knew about social impact, sustainable innovation, and teamwork. Then, a behavioral interview focused on how I work with others, adapt, and do purpose-driven work. They asked for examples like: 'Talk about a time you did a project about sustainability or social impact.' 'How do you work in a company that's all about purpose?' 'Share a time you worked with different teams.' After that, the hiring manager did a technical interview. It was a deep dive into my skills and how I solve problems. I had to look at a case study and explain my plan. For example, for marketing, the task was: 'How would you introduce a new green product for Natura?' The last step was talking with top bosses about long-term plans and if I was a good fit for the company's big picture. This strategic chat helped me see their long-term goals. It was a really good experience, very thorough, and gave me a clear idea of how they operate. No matter what, I left feeling like I understood Natura's values and impact even better.

A recruiter reached out because they found my resume and thought my profile and skills were a great fit. I had an initial chat with the recruiter, then a second interview with the managers. After that, there was a skills test. For the skills test, they sent a very brief description, and the task was to create a 1-2 minute video with motion, editing, and SFX. Since the role was for Natura, I really put effort into the test, creating a script, doing the motion graphics, finding Natura-related material to edit, adding subtitles, and doing the voiceover. After submitting the test, I never heard back, which is common ghosting. I tried contacting the recruiter, but they never responded.

An online interview was scheduled. As soon as the recruiter turned on the camera, her disapproval was evident due to my afro hair. She said my resume was great, but her expression indicated she didn't like me. She didn't ask many questions, just the basic ones so it wouldn't be obvious that I wouldn't advance. Half an hour later, I received the email saying I didn't pass! I'm very surprised that a company that claims to be so inclusive and works with the Black community would discriminate against someone because of their hair, especially a woman.
