For my NUS SHE program interview as a biology grad, the main thing was my motivation for shifting to sustainable finance. They wanted to know how my science past could connect ecological data with money choices, how I'd pitch a conservation plan to investors, and how to gauge biodiversity's financial returns. We also talked about using the SHE program to get a job linking science and green investing.

It wasn't great. The interviewer stayed off camera the whole time during our online chat. They asked some really specific questions about my work, wanting to see the exact steps I take when planning a social media campaign or managing a page. When I asked about the company culture, the manager totally dodged the question. It felt pretty toxic.

So, the whole process had three parts. First, I had to do an online application and a quick test for problem-solving and judging situations. Then, I had a virtual chat with HR about why I wanted the job, my future plans, and my schooling. Lastly, I was in a panel interview with the R&D folks where I had to present one of my past projects and then answer some technical and behavioral questions. It was all pretty clear and gave me a good sense of what the company is about and what they're looking for.

The interview was good. They started by asking me to talk about my background and what I'm interested in researching. Then we talked about the project itself and what they expect. They asked some technical stuff and some general questions, but it was chill and helpful. I also got to ask them questions about the team and what the future looks like. It all went pretty smoothly and I liked it.
