Customer Engineer
The interview process was smooth overall. I went through six rounds, including technical tests, chats with managers, and discussions with PMs and executives. But the whole thing ended up being a letdown because of how they handled the pay. I told HR my salary expectations upfront, and they seemed fine with it. After I finished all six rounds and even gave them two references, the head of HR called with an offer that was less than what I'm making now. It was super frustrating and confusing. Why would they let candidates go so far in the process just to offer something they already knew was a no-go? Total waste of my time and energy.

Product Marketing Manager
I initially had an informational chat with the director to get a feel for the company and the position, after a referral from an exec. Things progressed to a formal interview, which also seemed to go well. Then, surprisingly, I spoke with the HR recruiter, a pretty high-level chat that also went well. The next part was strange: a week later, the recruiter informed me the director had left the company. The role was then being filled by another Sr PMM who was just promoted to director. Our conversation was awkward from the start, and even though I tried to be understanding about the transition, they seemed disengaged with my input. The following day, I learned the new director felt my experience wasn't a good fit, contradicting the prior views of the exec and the previous director. I later saw the job posting reposted by the new director, seeking new candidates. It left me with a bad impression, though I feel like I avoided a bad situation.

Chief of Staff
I spoke with a Narvar recruiter for an initial screening call. They told me I'd be moving on to a second interview, and the recruiting team set it up. But on the day of the second interview, no one showed up. I was ghosted. When I asked the recruiter about it, he insisted he'd emailed and called me days before to say they weren't moving forward. I'm very organized, so I doubt I'd miss a message. I got no emails, not even in spam, and no missed calls or voicemails from him. It's strange to get this far and have an interview scheduled, then change your mind days later. It left a bad impression, and I'd be hesitant to take a high-level role there if this is how they operate.

Machine Learning Engineer
I went through three rounds. First one is from the hiring manager, followed by a coding round and an ML design round. Overall, it was a positive experience. The ML questions were mostly basic, focusing on datasets and models. I made a mistake in the design round by not carefully examining the dataset, which might have led to mistaken assumptions and didn't impress them. It's a good idea to practice the design round with some datasets before the interview.

- How do you handle imbalanced datasets?
- Can you answer a basic pandas question?
