My application through their careers site led to a quick contact. The recruiter clarified role expectations based on my background. I then had a good initial interview with the Director of Product Management for Track and Notify. The recruiter maintained communication for over a month, which was fine as they were likely interviewing others. Subsequently, I was invited to their Bangalore office for an in-person interview with engineering leads and the HR business partner, which also went well due to my Marketing Technology domain knowledge. Another trip to the Bangalore office followed for an interview with the CTO. This part felt odd, like a completely different interview process for another product, and I wasn't informed beforehand. I was given a take-home assignment because my knowledge wasn't deep enough for the specifics of building a returns product. The most frustrating part was that after I invested time researching and completing the assignment, the Bangalore recruiter admitted they hadn't even passed it to the CTO. When I followed up for an update, I didn't even get a rejection message.

The interview process was pretty easy and the recruiter was super helpful giving me info so I could prep. I got to meet lots of the team through video calls which was great for getting a feel for the company.

Behavioral Case Presentation

This was a very frustrating product manager interview experience. I had to chase the recruiter for feedback multiple times. The process dragged on for too long, and the questions weren't great. They wanted me to interview with all the business unit heads, design, and engineering leads, but they just did intros. I'm not sure why those rounds were necessary. The CEO's attitude was off-putting, and I felt uncomfortable talking to him. After 6 rounds and lots of follow-ups, they told me their strategy changed and they weren't hiring for the role anymore, which felt like a company strategy failure.
