I sent in my application via the Micron career portal and was happy to be shortlisted. The interview process was pretty simple - they invited me straight for a first-round interview. It was in person, and the interviewer asked me about my background, studies, and fundamental IT and systems knowledge. They wanted to know how I troubleshoot and manage systems, and how I'd handle real work scenarios. I also had to talk about my previous projects and any practical experience I had. The interviewer was professional, and the questions needed clear, confident answers. All in all, it wasn't overly complex but required solid preparation on the technical basics.

So there are like 2 or 3 rounds. First you talk to the manager, they check your personality and ask some technical questions, and see how you handle stress. Then there's an IQ test, which you might have to do in a room, so try doing some online beforehand since you get multiple tries. Finally, you meet the Director. This is the real game changer round, so expect some tough questions.

  • Would you be open to putting in extra hours when needed?
  • Are you prepared to work overtime if the situation demands it?

So before the actual interview, you have to do this online assessment. It has like, one programming round, then one electrical round, and then two logical assessment rounds. The logical ones are pretty easy, and the programming one isn't too bad either. For programming, you could use Python, C, or Java. Then, in the interview round itself, they'll ask you to walk them through how you solved some of the problems from the online assessment. After that, they'll hit you with some new questions to see what you know. Overall, it's a pretty decent experience.

  • Can you code a program to solve the linear equation 2x-7 = 3x+5?
