Technical Coding System Design

I went through 3 rounds of interviews. The first two were about OOP and coding. The second round interviewer wasn't ready and took a while to explain things. They asked me to model data and write queries based on a current issue. The last interview was with a technical manager, lasting about 80 minutes. After that, HR went silent even though I followed up politely. It’s a shame that after putting in so much time, there was no response at all. The HR team’s silence didn't match the company’s public image. It’s only polite to let candidates who made it through multiple rounds know the outcome.

We had an on-campus exam that included aptitude, networking, DBMS, pseudocodes, and two coding questions. The coding questions weren't required for this role, but doing them might help if it's competitive. Shortlisted candidates were called for interviews the very next day. Since the role is cloud-focused, the interviews only covered cloud and personal/college projects. It's advised to thoroughly revise DBMS and SQL. Candidates who passed the first round went on to an HR round. Interestingly, some friends who didn't get an HR interview were still selected. In the end, 15 people were hired.

The interview included questions about computer networks focusing on security algorithms, operating systems, and in-depth C language concepts, especially pointers. There was also a live coding session in C, specifically a bit manipulation question, and discussion on how to approach such problems.
