Consultant
There were 3 interviews and 1 case presentation round. The interviews were to understand my experience and why I was interested in Michael Page. The case study was to assess my thinking process and how I would approach daily tasks at the company.

Medical Manager
I was approached by Michael Page’s Dubai office about a Medical Manager position with a pharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases. The initial screening was quick, followed by what was called the main interview. However, it quickly became apparent that the recruiter had a very limited understanding of the role and the rare disease sector. She made some condescending remarks about my patient enrollment numbers, comparing them to hypothetical candidates selling hundreds of thousands of boxes of drugs per month, which showed a lack of grasp on the orphan drug market. For instance, enrolling a few hundred patients for a rare disease program can involve a $120 million budget. The company she was recruiting for was one I had previously worked with through their distributor, and I was actually the only person who had managed to enroll patients on their drug since its 2016 launch after several other managers had tried and failed. So, I would have been ready to start immediately. But none of that seemed to register. It was like talking to a brick wall. A few days later, I got a rejection email. I asked on LinkedIn if I could still be considered for the shortlist being sent to the company, since their team knew me. She said she'd update me in a couple of days, but it’s been weeks of unanswered emails and calls since then.
- Could you share some information about your background and professional accomplishments?
- What were your achievements in terms of patient enrollment?

Digital Learning Specialist
So I was contacted by Michael Page recruiters about the role. First chat was super chill, but then they called back the same day with a different offer, which was kinda odd. I stuck with the main role though. I had a call with the learning director, who was really cool and excited about their goals. We had an online meeting to go over the job, what they wanted to achieve, and their strategies. I thought that call went really well. Honestly, I wasn't actively looking to move, but their vision made me consider it. After the call, though, silence. No word from Michael Page or OneAdvanced. I reached out once and was told the director was on holiday, but that was it. I really didn't like being left hanging with no feedback. You'd think at this level, you'd get more from these companies. I won't be wasting my time with them again, especially Michael Page.
- What's your approach to conducting a needs assessment?
Recruitment Researcher
I went through two interview rounds. The first was with HR, then two managers from the team interviewed me. After that, there was an assignment round where I had to do a short assignment on the same day at home. HR never got back to me after the assignment, even when I asked for an update. One of the managers was really rude and unprofessional during the interview. She didn't even check my resume or know my name. She was concerned that attending a university might affect my focus on work, which is weird for an internship. She could have saved my time and travel if she'd just looked at my resume or talked to HR beforehand. She also mentioned I might have to work overtime and skip lunch.
- Can you tell me what you know about Michael Page and how this team operates?
