Clinical Trial Manager
I had a quick HR screen via Teams, which was appreciated for its speed. However, it took several weeks to get a response asking to schedule an in-person meeting. After I provided my availability, I had to wait another 2-3 weeks for scheduling. The in-person interview had one interviewer run over by about 10 minutes, and several people were late or very early for their parts of the Zoom interview. It was generally okay, but I found it strange that I traveled for an in-person meeting with one person, only to have three others join via Teams.

Clinical Trial Manager
The entire hiring journey, from applying to accepting the offer, spanned about 6 weeks. It kicked off with a group interview call where multiple applicants learned about the Associate Clinical Trial Manager (aCTM) position and its place within Medpace. This initial call was really insightful. Candidates were then divided into breakout rooms based on their therapeutic area expertise to chat with a team lead, which was also super informative. After I emailed HR to confirm my interest, I was invited for an in-person interview and panel presentation at their Cincinnati campus, which took about two weeks to schedule. They covered my travel and hotel costs. I was given a topic and had to prepare a 10-15 minute presentation on solving a clinical trial-specific problem. The interview itself included a behavioral part, my presentation, and a Q&A session. HR then went over the benefits. I got the offer less than two weeks after the onsite interview. It was a really smooth process overall.

Clinical Research Associate
The application process was not very transparent! There was no in-person or phone interview. The entire process consisted solely of an online assessment that took about 90 minutes. I was given a Medical Record for a specific case from a clinical study (about 40 A4 pages). The task was to analyze it as in monitoring, identify deviations and inconsistencies with the study documentation, and create a structured report according to a template. The answers were entered precisely and clearly (in English) and sent back as a PDF by the deadline. The evaluation of this assessment took almost three weeks in total. After two weeks without any feedback, I had to send a reminder email myself. Only about another week later did I receive negative feedback stating that I was not being considered for further process. For a time-limited assessment, a processing time of three weeks seems very long from my perspective. Additionally, the contact persons changed several times during the process. It was unclear who was part of HR, who was responsible for evaluating the assessment, and who the primary contact person was. Communication occurred simultaneously via email and LinkedIn, which further complicated overview and ultimately led to an unprofessional impression of the company.

Clinical Project Manager
The interview process was very disorganized. They replied immediately and enthusiastically to my application, but then didn't schedule the first meeting for another 2-3 weeks. When I had the first interview with the hiring managers, they seemed to think I had already spoken with HR. The questions were all focused on them. They asked what I knew about Medpace, why I was interested in Medpace, how they differ from other CROs, and about their departments. The next morning, I received an email saying they wanted to move forward and schedule an HR-related interview, but this never happened because they ghosted me. The atmosphere during the meeting with the managers also wasn't very welcoming.
