First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Medpace.
Intern
The interviewers were a PhD and a manager, who were polite and encouraging. My main issue with the interview process was that while processing emails and other communications were in English, the interview itself was conducted in German without any prior notice. As an international student, this made me a bit nervous because I hadn't prepared for an interview in my third language.
- Could you elaborate on your qualifications?
- Tell me about your management skills and strategies.
- Could you provide some background information about yourself?
Co-Op
The process started with some weird email stuff where they claimed to have sent an email and asked why I didn't respond. Then I had a technical phone interview where they looked at my resume and asked about my past work and C#. They said they'd reply in 2 weeks, but it took a month to get a rejection. The in-person interview was mostly behavioral. They bragged a lot about their gym, trainers, and parking perks, which felt irrelevant given the communication delays. It felt like they interviewed a ton of people and only picked a couple, sending rejections way late.
- Can you explain what an interface is in programming?
- What is an abstract class?
- Could you describe the difference between an interface and an abstract class?
Intern
It was a 2-hour multi-part interview that was pretty straightforward and not too hard. You just need to know about the company and its mission statement. After the interview, you'll get a follow-up call or email. I recommend sending a follow-up email after the interview.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at Medpace?
