HR Consultant
The hiring process took several months and felt quite long and unclear. After an initial contact and a first interview, I was also asked to complete a written situational question. During the interviews, I was asked various personal and professional background questions (about my presentation, past experiences, strengths). I felt like I often had to chase updates on the selection status. Although there was initially communicated urgency to fill the role, the process dragged on and in the end, after the 3rd step, someone else was chosen. Considering the 2nd step lasted a good 2 hours, I considered it quite a waste of time.
- Can you introduce yourself and walk me through your professional journey?
- What do you consider to be your key strengths? Please provide a few examples.
- How would you characterize yourself, both personally and professionally?
Recruiter
First interview with the area manager, went well even though I came from finance with no recruiting experience. Second interview with the regional manager, positive feedback. They asked for 3 references, and they called them (a nearly 1-hour conversation with one). They told me everything was perfect, even gave me an approximate salary band and a start date. Third interview with the director of Spain and LATAM, who said they preferred someone with recruiting experience. They asked personal questions that aren't allowed (children, where they study, how old they are, my husband's profession...). Fourth and final interview with the HR director, who spoke in a confirmed future tense instead of conditional ('you'll see this better when you're here,' 'at the beginning you'll do this...'). In this fourth interview, they said they'd contact me the following week. Almost a month and a half passed with silence. I contacted them, and they said they ultimately preferred someone with recruiting experience, even though they initially said it wasn't an issue for the role they wanted to fill. Totally incomprehensible and very unprofessional, especially when you present yourself as wanting to build a 'boutique in recruitment for banking and finance.'
- Tell me about how you would react to simulated client interactions or in specific possible situations.
- The third interview had a dismissive and sometimes superior tone, which I even considered a test, until they asked about private aspects of my life and family.
Customer Success Specialist
I was contacted by a recruiter from LHH for this position, as they had reached out before in September 2025 but I never heard back after the interview, so I assumed I wasn't selected. This time, my resume was significantly changed from the original, and the client didn't confirm the details LHH provided, which was too different to be an accident. I was ghosted again. While I understand not being chosen, communication is expected when promised. This company used to be Ajilon and was great, but now they're as bad as direct hire recruiters. I'm done with them.
- Could you tell me about the pay scale?
- When are you available to start working?
Conseillère Référente
Had a first call to check qualifications (education, experience, clientele) and logistics (license, travel). Then went to an info session about the mission. Followed by a 1-hour manager interview. Finally, a 2-hour role-play simulation: first, a mock interview, then writing a summary, and finally analyzing the practice.
- Do you have any questions after the information meeting?
- Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
- You seem overqualified for this role; why aren't you applying for a manager position?
