First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Keywords Studios.
QA
It was an offline interview where the first stage involved assessing communication skills, both written and verbal. After that, I didn't receive any further communication from the company, not even a rejection email.
- Tell me about your communication skills, including written and verbal abilities.
- Do you have experience with analytical questions?
- What are your thoughts on writing prompts?
LQA Specialist
I applied and then after about a month, the HR manager reached out. We had a brief chat to get to know each other. Following that, they sent me a test, which I passed. Then, I had another interview with a different HR manager and a coordinator. The final step was an interview with the rest of the team. The whole thing took roughly two months.
- Can you explain the difference between good and bad localization work?
- Which languages do you usually play games in?
- Tell me about your previous experience in LQA.
Community Manager
The process started in November 2024, but they didn't get back to me until June 2025, which was a 7-month wait to restart. In the final round, I interviewed with the project manager. She liked my profile and said she'd wait for HR's notification. After two weeks, HR informed me the project was canceled and they'd keep my details. It was a total waste of time. This company heavily relies on projects, taking 7-8 months to get them, only to cancel them, leaving candidates without job offers. Terrible company.
- How do you create a community strategy?
QA Tester
The first round is an online test with reasoning, gaming, and math questions. The second round is a telephonic interview with HR where they ask about games and yourself. The third round is with the Team Lead for a proper interview about yourself, your experience, game-related questions (games you played), and any QA questions. The fourth round is with the Manager, where they ask about yourself, game knowledge, what games you like, and more about games (depending on the manager).
- Can you explain smoke testing?
- What do you understand by sanity testing?
- Could you describe JIRA?
