Bar Server
Easy interview. Nice managers. Had a phone call and then an in-person interview. It was a brief but good conversation about why I wanted to work there and my experience. Management is strict here though, you have to ask for a manager each time you need to reverse something on the tab, like tapping the wrong drink by mistake.
- Can you tell me about your availability?
- What makes you interested in this position?
- Could you describe your relevant experience?
Kitchen Staff
The interviewer was a bit late, but the rest of the interview was pretty straightforward and nothing caught me off guard. They asked me some questions about my skills, experience, and when I could work. Right after, they offered me the job.
- Can you tell me about your availability?
- What relevant experience do you have for this position?
- What makes customer service important to you?
Bar Associate
It was a quick and easy chat with a manager. They asked generic interview questions. They do always ask about the history of Wetherspoons so knowing a little bit about the company and potentially the building that the Wetherspoon's your interviewing at is helpful. I was offered the job on the spot.
- Why are you interested in this position?
- What prior experience do you have?
- How would your skills benefit this role?
Bar Staff
It was a very quick interview, lasting about 10-15 minutes. When you get to the bar, let them know you're here and they'll offer you a hot drink before you start. They'll check your ID, ask some questions, and then give you a chance to ask your own questions.
- Can you tell me about your availability?
- How would you handle a customer complaint about food or drink?
- What unique contributions would you make to the team?
