I had such a bad time with Ipreo. The interview process was awful. The case study had zero context or explanation, and they didn't even cover travel costs. After the superday, they called saying the team liked me, especially the head of Global Markets Intelligence. They wanted me to meet the GMI group to see if I'd prefer that over the Leadership program. The whole call made it sound like I had an offer, maybe even two. I was upfront about having another offer and needing to decide soon. They asked about my other offer, and I answered honestly. Two days later, they called back saying my other offer seemed like a better match, so they weren't going to offer me a position.

I applied online and HR emailed me to chat about the role and my expectations. Then, I was invited to their London office for a face-to-face interview with a manager. It was super casual, half on the street getting coffee and half sitting down back at the office. I would have preferred a more traditional interview, but I went with it. They asked standard questions and I thought it went well. However, the end of my experience with Ipreo was not great. A few days after the interview, HR called but I was in a meeting. I emailed right away to apologize and ask for a call back. I also tried calling HR back proactively, but she never answered. Since I never heard back, I guess they wanted to give me negative feedback, but I feel they should have followed through and called me. It's a shame because I liked the first part, but the lack of professionalism at the end changed my mind.

Applied online and heard back the next day. Had a phone screen with HR, who mentioned not many people had applied. Passed that and had a phone interview with the hiring manager later that week. That interview went well and was pretty quick, felt like a formality. Then I was invited for an in-person interview. I went to the office and interviewed with 9 people for about three hours. Everyone I met was really nice and personable, and the office location was good with easy parking. The questions were typical for design interviews, mostly about my portfolio and past design work/methods. After the interview, I didn't hear back for 3 weeks. I followed up and was told they hadn't decided yet. A couple weeks later, I found out they canceled the position. My guess is they didn't get enough applicants and wanted to wait longer. It felt like they wanted to move fast with interviews but then left me waiting for 4-5 weeks.

So the first thing is a phone screening, which is pretty straightforward. Then there's an Excel test that can be a bit challenging, so definitely brush up on your Excel skills if you're not super comfortable. The main interview day is a real 'super-day,' meaning it's a long one. You'll likely have several team leaders interview you one-on-one for about 30 minutes each. It can be tough because you'll encounter a lot of different personalities. The key is to be up-to-date on current events and to be able to talk about them clearly and with confidence.
